2025 MayDay Luncheon

MayDay is an annual sports-themed charity fundraising lunch to be held in Melbourne during the month of May and organised by the Corcous Club. The purpose of the event is to not only raise funds for a chosen charity but also to raise its profile within the community. We hope that all funds raised will make a significant impact to those in need and we are very pleased to have donated close to $1,500,000 to our chosen charities since our first event in 2009.

Event details

The next MayDay charity lunch will be held on Friday 23 May 2025 at The RACV Club, Level 17 (501 Bourke Street, Melbourne).

The event commences at midday and features Michael Klim and a charity auction. The lunch will finish at 3.00pm with drinks to be held at a nearby location after the event.

Goldie’s Angels

Goldie’s Angels is spearheaded by Simon Digby and Cristina Digby, parents of 8 year old A-T Superstar Goldie. They have chosen to be defiant, not defeated, as they help raise funds for medical research into the causes, prevention and treatment of A-T (Ataxia-telangiectasia) through BrAshA-T along with supporting families affected by A-T.

A-T is a rare and incurable disease often described as the worst parts of cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy and cystic fibrosis. Throw in a dose of cancer and lung disease and you have a general picture of this relentless condition.

Children are born apparently healthy but from around two years old their balance and coordination deteriorate and they are often described as ‘wobbly’ or ‘clumsy’. Most children with A-T require the regular use of a wheelchair before their teenage years and as time progresses, need full-time care.
